A huge congratulations to our U18 AAA Waterloo Wolves for clinching the Alliance Championships! It was an electrifying series, with every game highlighting the immense talent and sportsmanship of both our team and our worthy opponents, the Lambton Jr Sting. Hats off to the Sting for their formidable challenge and spirited play.
As we celebrate this victory, we’re also gearing up for the next challenge. The Wolves are off to Sault Ste. Marie on April 8th for the U18 AAA Central Regional Championships. The journey continues, and our focus remains sharp.

The U18 Waterloo Wolves are excited to welcome Sam Black to the squad.
The winger who played Waterloo U16 last season was selected by the Barrie Colts in the fourth round, 73rd overall, in the 15-round Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Priority Selection draft.

The winger who played Waterloo U16 last season was selected by the Barrie Colts in the fourth round, 73rd overall, in the 15-round Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Priority Selection draft.
This past weekend the Wolves won the prestigious 22 team Big Nickel tournament in Sudbury, Ont with a 5-3 win over Ontario #1 ranked Ajax Pickering Raiders. The Wolves stayed perfect with a 4-0 round robin with wins over the Toronto Nationals, Southern Tier Admirals, New Liskeard Cubs, and Kingston Jr. Gaels. The Wolves dominated the Nats again in the quarter finals taking that 4-1 with a large advantage in shots. The semis saw the Wolves continue their strong play defeating the Central Ontario Wolves 6-0 to advance to the finals that afternoon. In a very fast and tight final, the Wolves built a 4-1 lead and held on the beat the Raiders 5-3 and win the championship. The Wolves’ Colin Slattery took home tournament MVP honours.
The Waterloo Wolves provide the youth of Waterloo and surrounding areas with a first class U18 AAA hockey program. Featuring the best available coaching, training and facilities, athletes in our program will learn team values, citizenship, and equity. We believe that the process of developing elite athletes and young men must be inclusive of everything we do on and off the ice.
Led by head coach Brian Burnley, we offer an exceptional U18 AAA hockey program in Waterloo, focusing on developing not just elite athletes but also well-rounded individuals. Under Burnley’s leadership, the program emphasizes team values, citizenship, and equity, both on and off the ice. Recognized for his dedication, Coach Burney ensures that every aspect of the program contributes to the holistic growth of young athletes, molding them into skilled players and responsible citizens. This comprehensive approach, combining top-notch coaching, training, and facilities, sets the Wolves apart as a leading force in youth hockey, deeply committed to the personal and athletic development of their players.
