Congratulations to HHTH WR!

photoEach fall, the incredible fundraiser, Hockey Helps the Homeless, takes place at RIM Park in Waterloo. Community members (including Wolves alumni) play in a fun, one-day hockey tournament with exNHLers and Olympians and help to raise money to aid the homeless in the Region of Waterloo. The funds are distributed through the following partnering charities:

  • Cambridge Shelter
  • YW Kitchener-Waterloo
  • oneROOF Youth Services
  • Lutherwood
  • House of Friendship

On Friday, October 28th, the 9th annual HHTH Waterloo Region Tournament wrapped up, with organizers announcing that $285,000 had been raised! The top individual fundraisers were Wolves alumni Colin and Corey Way (pictured below with our own Willy Huber), who were part of Team Piller’s, who were also the top team this year, raising $34,220!! This year’s funds boost the 9-year grand total raised to an incredible $1.9 million!!

Hockey Helps the Homeless Waterloo Region would like to thank all of those who played such an important part in this year’s event…players, sponsors, donors, and volunteers.
